Sound of The Week!! – Broken Tumble Dryer

Posted by | Blog, Sound of the Week | No Comments

So sound of the week has been away for a while, and probably will be still for a bit. But I’ve just recorded something that I thought would make for some perfect material to share with you guys. I was downstairs and heard a horrible grinding sound locating from our Tumble Dryer. Turns out the motor is dying, so what a perfect chance to record quite a rare sound.

Broken Tumble Dryer

Also, I’ve just realised that I’ve clocked in over 2000 sound of the week downloads, so this post is dedicated to you guys who have downloaded the sounds to use in your work.

It was recorded using an NTG3 going into my H4N at 96khz 24bit resolution. As usual, this is all entirely free, no royalties/credits/small print. Just use however you want within your projects be them professional or personal. It is available for download here – samueljustice.net/downloads/2012/01/MOTOR_TUMBLE_DRYER_BROKEN_GRINDING_MACHINE_CLICK_NTG3_H4N_96KHZ_24BIT_20120118.wav

Dear Esther

Very excited to say that Dear Esther is up for a large amount of awards in the Independent Games Festival awards show, one of the most prestigious awards in indie gaming.

I mastered the music for Dear Esther and whilst my role was very small compared to the rest of team, I am extremely proud of what they have accomplished. I am currently working with the studio on two of their upcoming projects, one of which I am directing the audio for. The studio has a small website which is constantly being updated over here - http://thechineseroom.co.uk/ and for more info on Dear Esther please visit http://dear-esther.com/
